APPOINTMENT SCHEDULER
U.S. Orthopaedic Partners
General Summary of Duties:
To schedule all new and returning patients. Scheduling will include patients in the clinic as well as those on the telephone.
Supervision Received:
Supervision and reporting is from the department manager.
Typical Physical Demands:
Minimum physical requirements, sedentary working conditions, requires normal visual acuity and hearing.
Typical Working Conditions:
Work in a clinical office environment with frequent telephone contact from patients.
Skills and Abilities:
Communicate effectively in a professional and courteous manner; work in stressful situations; excellent organizational skills; professional attitude.
Principal Duties
Book and reschedule new/established patient appointments for all sports medicine physicians based on established templates.
Communicate with patients and process them into the system expeditiously.
Demonstrate strong leadership and interpersonal skills with prospective patients and co‑workers.
Coordinate additions to daily schedules.
Answer questions regarding patient appointments.
Participate actively in efforts to improve total office performance.
Maintain patient confidentiality.
Adhere to policies and procedures.
Perform any function deemed necessary and appropriate by management.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
High School Graduate or equivalent.
