Hotel Maintenance Technician / Maintenance Officer

Job Summary The Hotel Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning, safety, and appearance of the hotel’s facilities, equipment, and guest rooms. The role supports smooth hotel operations by promptly addressing maintenance issues and conducting preventive maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance of hotel rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities
Respond quickly to guest and staff maintenance requests
Repair and maintain electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical systems
Ensure all equipment and systems operate safely and efficiently
Maintain hotel assets to company and brand standards
Assist with room turnarounds and renovation projects as required
Monitor and report maintenance issues that may affect guest safety or comfort
Keep accurate records of maintenance work and materials used
Follow health, safety, and fire regulations at all times
Coordinate with housekeeping and front office to minimize guest inconvenience
Required Qualifications & Skills
Technical diploma or certification in electrical, mechanical, or building maintenance (preferred)
Previous experience in hotel or building maintenance is an advantage
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs
Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems efficiently
Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks
Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and emergencies
Good communication and teamwork skills
