What You Will Do
2nd Shift: Monday — Thursday, 3:30 pm – 1:30 am (4‑10 hour shifts)
Attend a 3‑week training program and 4‑8 weeks of on‑the‑job training to become a Certified Operator
Set up and operate NC milling/grinding machines, vertical turret lathes, or VTCs to perform routine production operations on weldments and assemblies
Follow operation sheets, part travelers, BOROPS, and oral instruction to set up equipment for grinding, turning, facing, boring, and chamfering operations
Verify the conformance of finished work to specifications using precision measuring instruments
Obtain operator certification to accept or reject parts
Maintain machines by performing total preventive maintenance (TPM)
Work collaboratively with engineers, quality assurance, programmers, and other production personnel to resolve machining problems and assist in part process development
Read, write, speak, and understand English

1 + years of manufacturing, automotive, or related trade experience
Ability to make computations involving decimals and fractions
Ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously
