Summary / Job Description
To remove finished product from the machines, inspect product to ensure quality specifications have been met and that all packaging requirements have been done according to production work order.
Responsibilities
Perform instructions outlined in the Production Manuals for Production Assistants Operate pallet jacks and fork trucks Assist operators as needed to minimize downtime during cleanups and maintenance Weigh and package rolls according to specifications and instructions provided on work order paperwork Thread Line Use and complete paperwork Understand and follow quality specifications Do QA cleanup Perform housekeeping duties on and around the line Maintain neat and clear aisles for product transfer and safety Adherence to company policies and procedures

Requirements
Must know how to read and use a tape measure and weigh scale Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.; if over 50 lbs., requires a team lift or mechanical aid such as a roll lift or forklift Must be able to stand for 12 hours Must be able to work rotating 12 hour shifts including holidays and weekends Must be able to bend, twist, and rotate body at all times Able to work in a fast paced environment
Physical Requirements
The employee may exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and up to 35 pounds of force frequently; if over 50 lbs, requires a team lift or mechanical aid such as a roll lift or forklift Must be able to stand for 12 hours Must be able to work rotating 12 hour shifts including holidays and weekends Must be able to bend, twist, and rotate the body Reaching with hands and arms for up to 100% of the workday Talking, hearing, and using arms to grasp, handle, and type Walking to operate production machines and to package and palletize finished product
Work Environment
This position may involve outdoor work up to 1/3 of the time or less, proximity to moving mechanical parts, elevated or precarious places, electrical components, vibrating equipment, fumes, chemicals, extreme temperatures, and loud environments.
Language Skills
Must be able to read and write in English
Education
High School diploma or GED preferred
