Overview Seeking a
Customer Service Representative
to support dispatch operations, update logistics data, and coordinate communication between customers, drivers, and fleet management. This role requires strong multitasking, communication, and problem-solving skills to ensure accurate and timely movement of freight.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and update dispatch systems with appointment times, ERD, LFD, and rail cutoff information.
Enter and confirm customer orders, schedule and verify delivery appointments.
Communicate daily with Fleet Managers to align capacity and customer commitments.
Track dispatched equipment to ensure on-time out-gates/in-gates before deadlines.
Generate and distribute yard and chassis reports to management.
Coordinate workload coverage if a Fleet Manager is out.
Check EDI for new loads and update systems accordingly.
Ensure all driver paperwork is scanned and complete; retrieve missing documents as needed.
Relay additional charges or special needs to customers in advance.
Provide clear, professional communication with customers, drivers, and internal teams.
Qualifications
2+ years of customer service or dispatch/logistics experience (trucking or transportation preferred).
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and data entry systems.
Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to multitask in a busy environment.
Comfortable working onsite in a casual trucking office setting.
