Data Center Technician II Contract: 6 Months

Location: Onsite – Boardman, OR

Pay: $20-$26/hr

Overview We’re seeking a

Data Center Technician II

to support day-to-day operations within a production data center environment. This role involves hands‑on server hardware support, basic system troubleshooting, and working within established processes alongside a technical team. Ideal candidates are dependable, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

Perform server and hardware troubleshooting, installation, and component replacements

Support basic Linux environments and assist with system diagnostics

Use a ticketing system to track work and document resolutions

Follow data center procedures related to safety, security, and operations

Collaborate with team members and escalate issues as needed

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

2+ years of experience in a data center or similar technical environment

Hands‑on experience with server hardware

Basic Linux and networking knowledge

Ability to prioritize tasks and follow detailed processes

Work Environment

Onsite role in a secure data center facility

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods

Comfortable working in varying temperatures and enclosed spaces
