Overview PURPOSE

Lincoln University School of Business is accepting applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position to teach accounting, finance, and business-related undergraduate and graduate courses in-seat, online, and hybrid. This is a full-time, 9-month position. The successful candidate is expected to join us in the Spring of 2026 and will continue into the 2026/2027 academic year. The contracted teaching load is 12 hours per semester, with the opportunity for teaching overloads and summer courses. Full-time faculty are expected to advise students, participate in faculty and campus committees, attend faculty assembly, division meetings, and conduct program/class assessments in accordance with the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), university policies, strategic plan, rules, and regulations, as well as the standard criteria set forth by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Teach Accounting, Finance, and Business-related courses in classroom and online modalities at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Research in accordance with tenured faculty requirements.

Assist students with academic advising.

Prepare course syllabi for assigned courses that meet the needs of students according to the university policy and accreditation requirements.

Participate in the development of assessments and evaluation of courses and the program for continuing improvement.

Maintain professional development according to personal and professional needs.

Assist in recruitment efforts for the program by participating in university recruitment events and communicating with interested students.

Assist with ACBSP reporting.

Other duties as assigned.

Cost Management

Individual Income Tax

Intermediate Accounting

Computerized Accounting

Governmental Accounting

Accounting Information Systems

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ideal Candidate: Ph.D. or D.B.A. in Accounting/Finance, or equivalent terminal degree(s) or ABD with completion date of Spring 2026 from a regionally accredited university.

ACCA/CPA certification desired.

Acceptable Candidate: Master degree in accounting with CPA certification.

Demonstrated record of outstanding teaching effectiveness.

Demonstrated record of high-quality intellectual & scholarly activity.

Related Industry or consulting experience.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations

Professional certifications: (ACCA, CPA, CMA, or CIA)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Light sedentary office work.

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Ability to lift to 25 lbs.
