Base pay range $28.00/hr - $32.00/hr
To help us in our mission to professionalize and innovate telecom construction, ByVerTek is now seeking a Fiber Splicer with a minimum of 2-4 years of experience splicing fiber cables from 12ct to 864ct as well as troubleshooting both as required. Includes various physical requirements and ability to distinguish all colors, ability to work aloft from ladders, platforms, poles and bucket trucks.

What You'll Do
Splicing fiber optic cable large and small counts and Ribbon fiber
Light labor including lifting manhole covers and barricading open manholes
Working with ISP/OSP terminations
Working in, from and around hand-holes and manholes
Qualifications
19 years of age or older
Authorization to work in the United States for this company
2 or more years of fiber splicing experience
Knowledge of hot cuts and solid OTDR testing
Ribbon splicing knowledge preferred
Experience in how to read and interpret outside and subscriber plant facility records and engineering schematic work prints
Additional Qualifications (if Applicable)
Working knowledge of direct termination of fiber-optic connectors including mechanical, anaerobic, epoxy polish, heat cured as well as pigtail splicing methods
Working knowledge of ISP/OSP fiber optics terminations in splicing products in regard to appropriate application
Working knowledge of analog and digital transmission
Physical Abilities & Exposures
Routinely: Duties outlined in this position will require the employee to stand, crouch, climb sit, bend, use hands and fingers to handle or feel as well as reaching with hands and arms to spaces both high and low. The employee will be standing, walking, climbing, balancing, crawling, crouching, lifting, holding or stooping while on shift.
Occasionally: Employees performing these job functions may be required to lift or move up to 10 up to 50 pounds.
