Warehouse Trainer 2nd Shift

Shift + Pay:
2nd Shift M-F 4pm-12:30am – $23/hr
Job Purpose The Warehouse Trainer is responsible for the hands‑on training of all new personnel and other warehouse employees. The Warehouse Trainer will train on best practices and provide on‑the‑job training to employees. The position also offers opportunities to participate in scout assignments across the network as needed.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Provide on‑the‑job training to equipment operators and other warehouse employees.
Conduct training sessions for new hires and provide ongoing hands‑on training to warehouse pickers and employees.
Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
Be well‑versed in all warehouse functions.
Plan and schedule tasks and handle multiple tasks at once.
Maintain all training records for required regulatory purposes and mandatory internally required instruction.
Perform work safely and in accordance with company and customer standards and safety regulations. Report unsafe conditions or accidents to the appropriate personnel.
Understand various teaching methods and provide constructive feedback while maintaining a positive rapport with employees.
Conduct all monthly safety refresher training.
Conduct all post‑accident safety refresher training.
Be willing to work off shifts as needed for training demands.
Operate as a forklift operator as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Train new Trainers as per RJW policy and SOPs.
Communicate with trainers and help/assist as needs may arise.
Implement all SOPs during training.
Ensure all trainers follow the guidelines and cross‑train all associates as needed.
Ensure each trainer maintains the SOP spreadsheet for their weekly recap and audit preparation.
Ensure every trainer utilizes the data entry and updates every week.
Ensure all safety guidelines are in place and implemented during training, including driving equipment.
Travel to all buildings as needed as a trainer lead.
Primarily work mid shift to cover both shifts or as needed.
Fill in when other trainers are off or on vacation.
Ensure compliance with quarterly audits.
Open tickets with MIS for any issues and resolve them.
Other Requirements
Basic knowledge of training techniques or job training.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Education And/or Experience Required
High School Diploma or general education diploma (GED).
At least 6 months experience.
Language Skills Sets
Must be able to communicate, read, write, and speak English.
Ability to read, analyze, and write; effectively follow orders and respond to questions from management.
Physical Demands
Must be able to occasionally reach/lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Regularly works in an indoor/office environment; required to sit and/or use repetitive hand motion.
Frequently required to talk, hear, stand, and walk.
Must be able to work in excess of continuous 8 hours when required.
Must have the ability to read and discern visual images with 20/20 corrected vision.
Must be able to speak and communicate clearly over telephones.
Must be in sound physical health as determined by a certified licensed physician with no evidence of the use of controlled substances.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment will range from quiet to moderately loud.
