Pharmacy Customer Service Associate – Walgreens
This role provides medication and retail pharmacy support, delivering a distinctive customer experience and assisting pharmacists under supervision.
Base Pay Range $16.00/hr – $18.00/hr
Responsibilities
Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
Register sales on assigned cash register, providing courteous, efficient checkout service.
Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision with dispensing prescriptions, using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, fill, count, and verify medications, and handle prescription errors.
Maintain cash handling processes: collect cash, give change, process voids, returns, receipts, refunds, and exchanges.
Keep counters, shelves, and aisles clean, well merchandised, and conduct inventory as directed.
Recommend items for sale, including trade‑ups and companion products.
Provide customer assistance in the OTC aisle and other pharmacy areas.
Adhere to state and federal regulations, Walgreens pharmacy policies, and the Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
Perform clerical duties such as manual claim corrections, inventory management, and store system usage.
Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, or Store Manager.
Basic Qualifications
Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
Preferred Qualifications
At least six months of experience in a retail environment.
Prior work experience with Walgreens.
Strong math skills for accurate prescription filling.
Proficiency in computer skills.
Knowledge of store inventory control.
PTCB certification.
