St. Francisville, LA Job Summary We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipper 1 to join our team. This position is responsible for accurately preparing, loading, and shipping finished paper products in accordance with customer orders and company standards. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, organized, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Key Responsibilities Pick, stage, and load finished paper products according to shipping orders and schedules. Verify product types, quantities, and condition to ensure accurate shipments. Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently. Inspect products for damage before loading and report any issues immediately. Complete all required shipping paperwork and system entries accurately and on time. Communicate and coordinate with drivers, carriers, and warehouse personnel to ensure smooth shipping and receiving operations. Assist with unloading and receiving incoming shipments as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all company safety protocols. Report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or inventory discrepancies to the supervisor. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous shipping, warehouse, or material handling experience is a plus. Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification required. Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and work orders. Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems preferred. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy products (up to 50 lbs). Comfortable working in an industrial warehouse environment. Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team. Strong focus on safety and adherence to company policies. Work Conditions May involve exposure to loud noises, dust, and varying temperatures. Requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods. Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
