Base pay range
$27.88/hr - $27.88/hr
This position is temporary and expected to last for 6 months with the possibility of an extension based on the department's needs.
Responsibilities Performs semi‑skilled heavy equipment operation work in the discipline of pavement maintenance.
Anticipated starting salary may be up to the mid‑point depending on candidate's experience and internal equity. The full salary range is listed above and the mid‑point for this position is $27.88 per hour.
Education and Experience
A high school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalent.
One year of experience in asphalt pavement maintenance, signs, or markings, or related experience.
Licensing, Certifications, And Other Requirements
Must possess a valid, unrestricted Commercial Driver License, Class is dependent on assignment and will be subject to unannounced alcohol and drug testing as required by law.
Every person employed by the City of Scottsdale shall reside in the State of Arizona during his or her active employment by the City, regardless of whether the employee is approved to remote work.
Street Operations – Asphalt & Maintenance Assignment
Must possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with no air brake restriction within six months of hire or promotion. Will be subject to unannounced alcohol and drug testing as required by law.
Preferred: American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA) Traffic Control Technician Certification or International Municipal Signal Association (IMSA) Work Zone Temporary Traffic Control Technician Certification.
Other pertinent licenses and/or certifications may be required of some positions depending on department/section assignment.
