What To Expect Tesla is looking for a goal‑oriented Yard Material Handler at Gigafactory Nevada. This position involves materials handling for the Construction Trades Teams: unloading vendor material deliveries, stocking materials, gathering materials for trades order requests, and accurate delivery of materials to Construction Trades Teams.
What You’ll Do
Material handling tasks: receiving, stocking, picking, tracking, and delivery
Perform material counts and yard checks
Collaborate with Construction Trades teams
Uphold Construction Trades Team best practices
Execute assigned tasks within specified timeframes
Engage in physical work, including pushing, pulling, gripping, and reaching
Ensure accurate vendor deliveries, inspect vehicles and equipment, and complete documentation promptly. Use a sit‑down forklift for tasks like unloading, moving, replenishing, stacking, and storing trades materials
What You’ll Bring
Must have strong command of the English language, both written and verbal
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. for extended periods and reach at different heights (4‑5 ft.) repetitively
Endure and safely operate in extreme weather and climate conditions (outdoor work)
Current forklift certification strongly preferred
Valid driver’s license required
Experience using a sit‑down forklift, preferably within the last year
