BJC HealthCare is seeking a Full‑Time Procedure Coordinator at our Barnes Jewish Hospital (Plaza West Tower) Radiology Medical Imaging MRI Department.
Position Details
Weekend Day Shift Hours: Saturday, Sunday, & Monday (6am‑6pm)
Full‑Time (36 hours per week) - Benefit eligible
In‑office Front Office Desk Position (non‑remote) & Clinical Support
Hands on patient care – prepping patients for procedure & monitoring
Greeting patients
Check in/out patients
Taking patient calls
Scheduling appointments
Scheduling procedures
Managing phones
Scheduling appointments

Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Coordinates the care of patients in need of special procedures in various radiology areas.
Responsibilities
Obtains insurance information and pre‑certification from referring physician or insurance company.
Maintains files and records on all patients, coordinates transportation for inpatients, and performs patient procedure follow‑up as instructed.
Coordinates the flow of all examinations by working closely with the radiologists, technical staff and the referring physicians’ offices.
Monitors patient’s physiological and psychological needs and reports patient concerns to appropriate staff member, physician or supervisor.
Minimum Requirements
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience: 2‑5 years
Supervisor Experience: No experience
Preferred Requirements
Experience: 5‑10 years
Licenses & Certifications
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
