Role Associate Photographers are the talented and versatile team responsible for the media collection for Homes.com and Apartments.com. Leveraging a top‑of‑the‑line Pro 3 Matterport, digital camera equipment and iPad, each Associate Photographer creates virtual tours, floorplans and photography for residential homes. Each is assigned a core territory and appointment schedule to scan homes and apartments with Matterport Pro3 cameras, capturing virtual tours, floor plans and marketing photography. The role collaborates closely with clients, sales associates, logistics and the management team, and is managed remotely by a local Photography Manager.

Responsibilities

Support marketing efforts on Homes.com and Apartments.com by capturing beautiful 3‑D virtual tours and footprints.

Create a portfolio of photographs to best feature homes and apartments, using photography techniques to capture the spaces in the most pleasing way possible.

Work closely with scheduling and dispatch teams to maximize appointments and meet client demands.

Communicate professionally with clients, sales, research partners, and management to strategically evaluate priorities, initiatives, and tasks.

Own the market: while not on a residential home, navigate one‑mile square grids to ensure complete commercial real estate data coverage; identify new inventory, missing availability, and commercial properties to be photographed.

Abide by CoStar safety standards to safeguard company vehicle and equipment.

Represent CoStar in a professional manner at all times.

Participate in conference calls with sales and research teams as needed.

Physical Requirements Repetitive sitting in a car, standing and walking for up to 8 hours per day; lifting, carrying and maneuvering equipment weighing up to 5 pounds; repetitive hand and arm movements for tablet or laptop and camera operation; occasional bending, stooping, squatting, lifting, twisting and carrying. Ability to work and drive outside during all seasons, and to work weekends on a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

At least 2 years of professional experience.

Real Estate Photography experience required.

Experience working as a professional photographer or a recently earned degree in photography.

Be an experienced Drone Photographer with a FAA Part 107 License/Certification obtained within 30 days of offer.

Strong time‑management skills and very detail oriented.

Capability to accurately capture and enter data.

Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills.

Knowledge of Windows, Apple OS, Microsoft Office, and Internet applications.

Enjoy working independently in a fast‑paced environment.

Field experience preferred.

Candidates must possess a current and valid driver’s license.

Satisfactory completion of a Driving Record/Driving Abstract check prior to start.

Driving history must reflect responsible driving behavior and compliance with traffic laws.

Compensation The Associate Photographer position is hourly plus bonus‑eligible, with monthly bonuses based on performance metrics. The hourly role equates to an annual salary of $49,000–$50,000, based on relevant skills and experience, and includes a generous benefits plan.
