Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a major Baton Rouge road construction contractor on a long‑term bridge build, and we’re looking for a steady‑handed operator who thrives on precision and safety.
The role
Operate hook and related cranes safely and efficiently to support bridge construction activities.
Conduct daily inspections of cranes and rigging; document findings and act on issues immediately.
Coordinate closely with riggers, signalpersons, and ground crews to plan and complete accurate lifts.
Maintain detailed records for lifts, inspections, and maintenance logs.
Perform routine upkeep and elevate equipment concerns without delay.
Adhere to OSHA, site, and company safety protocols at all times.
Schedule and pay
Full‑time, long‑term assignment with 40+ hours per week.
Day and night shifts available; hours may vary with project needs.
$35/hr+ DOE; final rate confirmed following interview.
Who you are
2+ years of crane operation experience (hook or overhead preferred).
NCCCO or equivalent certification preferred.
Confident reading load charts and applying crane capacity limits.
Clear communicator and collaborative teammate on busy sites.
Reliable transportation to Port Allen and greater Baton Rouge area sites.
