Technical Manager
Overview Lead technical projects in our silicones business. This role requires a detail-oriented, hands‑on individual who organizes lab activities, solves complex problems, and prioritizes multiple projects while maintaining focus.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical and regulatory support to customers, answering product and application questions.
Develop and test new silicone formulations in the lab to meet customer and market requirements.
Research new raw materials and technologies to support innovation.
Collaborate with customers, sales, and production teams on product development projects.
Author and maintain technical documentation (e.g., Technical Data Sheets, Technical Bulletins).
Contribute to patent applications for new products and technologies.
Represent the company at industry events, webinars, and customer meetings.
Maintain awareness of market trends and key suppliers.
Support regulatory compliance efforts, adapting formulations as needed for new regulations.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or related field (advanced degree a plus).
10+ years of experience in silicone formulation and applications, preferably in personal care products (hair serums, sprays, skin care emulsions).
Strong understanding of formulations, performance testing, and stability.
Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Ability to travel domestically up to 20% of the time.
Formulation experience, silicone chemistry expertise, and technical communication skills.
