Salary: USD 140,000 – 160,000 + 10% target bonus
Experience: 10+ years in silicone formulation and application
Job Description We are seeking a detail‑oriented Technical Manager who can lead technical projects, organize data on numerous lab activities, multi‑task, solve problems, and maintain clear priorities.
The ideal candidate will combine hands‑on formulation experience with strong project management and leadership skills to support commercial strategy, product development, and regulatory needs.
Key responsibilities include:
Provide technical, regulatory and application assistance to customers through answering inquiries, developing formulations in the lab, and performing analytical tests.
Develop commercially viable formulations that meet customer and market demands for performance, economics, and regulatory compliance.
Research new silicone developments and raw materials to meet emerging market demands.
Collaborate with customers, sales, and production teams to define and develop new products and formulations.
Author and maintain requirement documentation such as technical data sheets and bulletins.
Contribute to drafting patent applications for new product developments and technologies.
Visit customers, promote products, and solve application technical issues.setting collaborative opportunities.
Assist marketing in promoting silicones through webinars and social media posts.
Develop relationships with key vendors and stay informed on market trends for raw materials and finished goods.
Represent the company at industry technical events.
Travel up to 20% of the time is required.
The position is based at the Technology Center in Charlotte.
Job Requirements Technical qualifications geschulte fordert:
Minimum of a BS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Biochemistry.
Degrees in other scientific disciplines may be considered with an advanced degree in a relevant field as a plus.
10+ years of experience in silicone formulations and applications, preferably in the silicone industry or with silicone manufacturers.
Domestic travel up to 20% of the time.
