Job Description:
The client, an AMLaw 50 firm, is looking to hire a Business Development Analyst at their offices in New York City. This full-time, direct hire role pays an annual salary of $120K to $130K plus a performance-based bonus and excellent benefits package. The role requires a bachelor’s degree and allows for remote work one day a week.
Position Overview The Business Development Analyst supports the development, implementation, and execution of strategic market monitoring initiatives that result in actionable intelligence. The Analyst monitors key existing and prospective clients, identifies new business opportunities in real time, and communicates developments promptly to enable the firm’s partners to capitalize on opportunities.
Essential Functions
Establish, update and monitor news alerts on various clients and prospects, sharing with relevant stakeholders.
Identify and organize competitive data, market and company research, and industry trends.
Monitor key clients and prospects for various firm partners.
Collect and analyze internal and external data to identify potential business opportunities.
Analyze and synthesize information from various sources in a clear, concise manner.
Coordinate in-depth research with the Competitive Intelligence team on companies, industries and trends.
Maintain prospecting trackers and tools.
Create and maintain coverage lists and regularly report on opportunities.
Develop familiarity with internal systems to complement external research.
Collaborate with BD members to understand partners, practice areas, clients, competitors, and influencing factors.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum 4–5 years of experience in an analyst/competitive intelligence/business development role.
Knowledge of markets and understanding of M&A is preferred.

Readiness to meet deadlines that fall outside traditional workday hours.
Occasional travel may be required.
