Job Title
Academic Program Coordinator I (FLSA Exempt, Full Time, FTE 1.00)
Position Summary This position provides administrative support for the undergraduate degree program in Biomedical Physiology within the department of Physiology & Pharmacology.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or competencies including attentiveness, detail orientation, experience with student‑facing technologies, professionalism, effective communication, accessibility and flexibility, time management, in‑depth knowledge of university and degree requirements, familiarity with UGA financial, procurement, Banner, Argos, and other university administrative and academic systems.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting with Program Management
Provide administrative support to the Associate Dean, Department Head and Director.
Assist with program data summary reports, budget and funding proposals, growth projections and promotions.
Update majors and the program in PARC; manage faculty travel authorizations and reimbursements.
Prepare electronic purchase/check requests for classroom supplies.
Develop and organize data summaries related to undergraduate program assessment.
Maintain program websites.
Liaise with other academic programs and units.
Perform telephone, visitor, and email correspondence related to the program.
Undergraduate Course Management
Schedule courses and enter into scheduling platforms.
Process Student Operational Data (PODs) and clear academic holds.
Enter new courses into CAPA and track approvals.
Manage student records, admissions, and program acceptance.
Create and disseminate course evaluation results.
Track student progress with advising and support groups.
Provide curriculum and committee support.
Coordination of Special Program Events
Plan and coordinate program convocation each spring and fall.
Host undergraduate recruitment events.
Coordinate with student organizations for PLA orientations and recognitions.
Support for Student Success and Recognition
Assist awards committee with scholarship applications and notifications.
Administer scholarships in Scholarship Universe.
Coordinate academic award selections.
Coordinate MOUs for student internships.
Assist students with departmental procedures and policies.
