Position Summary This position provides administrative support for the undergraduate degree program in Biomedical Physiology within the department of Physiology & Pharmacology.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent.

Program Management Percentage of time: 40%
Provide administrative support to the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Affairs, Department Head and Director of the Biomedical Physiology undergraduate program.
Assist the Department Head with program data summary reports for budget and funding proposals, as well as program growth projections and promotion.
Work with the Director of Undergraduate Program to provide updates to majors and the Biomedical Physiology program in PARC.
Assist with program faculty travel authorizations and reimbursement requests.
Prepare electronic purchase/check requests for classroom supplies and materials.
Help to develop and organize data summaries related to undergraduate program assessment including tracking student progress and program alumni.
Work with the program Director to maintain and update the student handbook.
Maintain program status reports including number of students who are enrolled, graduating, and other related data for the College.
Manage the program’s websites on the College’s webserver, including updating and creating new content.
Liaise with other academic programs and administrative units to address the needs of the program.
Provide direct support to the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Affairs by maintaining records pertinent to the undergraduate program, assisting with travel authorizations and reimbursement requests, and preparing electronic purchase/check requests.
Maintain diverse mail and email address lists for correspondence.
Perform administrative duties associated with the undergraduate program in Biomedical Physiology including answering telephone calls, greeting visitors, responding to request for assistance, assistance with tracking student enrollment, grades, and graduation status.
Course Management Percentage of time: 35%
Work with the Director on course scheduling and entry into the course scheduling platforms.
Provide PODs and other clearances and clear academic holds for student registrations in conjunction with the advising group.
Enter new courses and course changes into CAPA and track their progress through the approval system.
Help to manage student records, admissions, and program acceptance using UGA systems in conjunction with the academic advising group.
Create, distribute, and compile results of program course evaluations.
Collaborate with the academic advising group to obtain data and track student progress both pre- and post-graduation.
Review curriculum requirements and academic programs (Curriculum and Academic Programs Committee support).
Assist with data collection for annual program assessment and reporting using the Xitracs system.
Coordinate with the Director regarding Academic Honesty related reporting.
Coordination of Special Program Events Percentage of time: 15%
Plan and coordinate program convocation each spring and fall semester.
Host undergraduate recruitment events at the university, local, and state level.
Coordinate with program-affiliated student organizations to address their questions and meet their needs for Departmental support.
Special events such as PLA orientations and recognitions.
Support for Student Success and Recognition Percentage of time: 10%
Assist the awards committee with managing program scholarship applications process, summaries, and notifications.
Work with the business office to administer and post scholarships in Scholarship Universe.
Coordinate academic award selection processes as needed.
Coordinate MOUs for student internships for undergraduate studies.
Assist students regarding departmental procedures and policies.
