President & CEO at Better Business Bureau Serving Greater Cleveland Position Overview:

The Better Business Bureau® (BBB®) is seeking a proactive and creative Multimedia & Communications Specialist to serve as the unified voice of our brand. In this dynamic role, you will go beyond social media; you will be a storyteller for our community.

In this role, you will collaborate with the Marketing Director to produce high‑quality content that spans the entire media spectrum, from digital video to print publications and magazines. Your mission is to craft compelling narratives tailored for our vital audiences: consumers, businesses, and the internal team. If you are a versatile creator who can pivot from interviewing a business owner to designing a professional newsletter or print brochure, we want to meet you.

Please include a link to your portfolio or reel (social media examples accepted) with your application.

Key Responsibilities 1. Content Creation & Video Production

Filming & Editing:

Conceptualize, shoot, and edit engaging video content for Reels, TikTok, YouTube, and website features.

Visual Storytelling:

Design on‑brand graphics and marketing materials for digital campaigns, newsletters, and brochures.

Tailored Local Content:

Visit businesses on‑site to capture "behind‑the‑scenes" content, testimonials, and success stories that humanize our network.

Channel Management: Execute a local and association content guide across BBB.org, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and TikTok, optimizing formats for maximum engagement on each platform.

Growth & Engagement: Monitor analytics to refine strategy, respond to community comments, and grow our digital footprint.

Newsletters: Design and curate compelling B2B and B2C email newsletters that provide value to both businesses and consumers.

2. Communications & Community Liaison

Brand Ambassadorship:

Act as a representative of the BBB during business visits, networking events, and community gatherings.

Internal & External Comms:

Draft clear, professional communications for internal team updates and external stakeholder announcements.

Strategic Collaboration:

Work closely with the Marketing Director to align all content with broader BBB goals, campaigns, and consumer education initiatives.

Qualifications

Technical & Creative:

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator) or Canva Pro. Social media scheduling platforms (e.g., Buffer, Hootsuite, Sprout Social). Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Constant Contact, Mailchimp) is a plus.

Project Management:

Ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Active Communication:

Strong interpersonal skills and a high level of comfort meeting face‑to‑face with business owners; you would be the "ambassador" of the BBB brand.

Experience:

A minimum of a high school diploma, or equivalency, is required for this position. A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Journalism, or a related field is preferred, or 1-4 years of experience in digital marketing, social media management, and video and print content production.
