Our agency first opened its doors in 1974 and is supported today by a dedicated team of four. Before becoming an agent, I was a basketball coach and teacher. The path to this career started unexpectedly—when I went in to buy a life insurance policy from my State Farm agent, he convinced me I’d be great at this business. I took the leap, fell in love with the work, and the rest is history. I graduated from William Jewell College and am proud to be a father to one daughter and two sons, as well as a grandfather to six wonderful grandchildren. Community involvement has always been close to my heart. We do a lot of charitable work for a local mother’s charity supporting young moms, and we’re active in youth programs and other local initiatives. We keep things flexible and supportive here — I’m very understanding when it comes to time off and make sure my team has the space they need for their personal lives. Many of my team members have been with me for years, which speaks to the trust and stability we’ve built together.
