Overview
We are seeking a Transportation Project Manager to support our expanding engineering services in the Mobile, AL region. This position will work closely with senior transportation planners and collaborate with transportation teams in other office locations. This opportunity is ideal for a civil engineer who enjoys both technical engineering work and direct client engagement. This is a full-time, on-site role with occasional flexibility. Candidates must be located within commuting distance or willing to relocate. Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage transportation and traffic engineering projects from concept through completion Write technical proposals and develop project scopes and cost estimates Supervise and coordinate the activities of project teams Ensure quality control, budget adherence, and timely delivery of project milestones Prepare engineering documents and traffic studies Collaborate with clients, local jurisdictions, and internal technical teams Oversee financial performance, staff resource allocation, and project schedules Mentor junior staff and promote professional development within the team Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution Active Professional Engineer (PE) license to practice civil engineering Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil or transportation engineering Minimum of 3 years leading project teams in a consulting environment Demonstrated experience managing project scopes, schedules, and budgets Hands-on proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation for roadway and traffic infrastructure design Strong verbal and written communication skills Proven ability to build client relationships and deliver results under pressure Solid understanding of traffic planning principles and roadway design standards Experience with project management software tools relevant to the civil engineering field Preferred Qualifications
Experience with public sector transportation infrastructure projects Familiarity with southeastern U.S. transportation regulations and agency standards Exposure to signalization, traffic studies, and corridor design Leadership experience mentoring and developing junior engineers Work Environment and Benefits
