Communications Coordinator Introduction:

The Communications Coordinator will lead strategic communication and social media initiatives to enhance engagement, elevate brand presence, and support organizational goals. This role requires a strong marketing communications background and IT knowledge to ensure technical alignment and compliance with accessibility standards.

Responsibilities

Develop and manage comprehensive social media strategies and create digital content (posts, graphics, videos).

Plan and execute communication campaigns for major initiatives and organizational changes.

Maintain consistent brand identity across newsletters, press releases, and digital materials.

Evaluate communication strategies using analytics, set measurable goals, and stay current with industry trends.

Ensure compliance with accessibility requirements across all project stages.

Minimum Qualifications

8+ years in marketing communications.

3+ years creating and managing external content such as newsletters and social media assets.

Experience with public relations, targeted marketing, promotional campaigns, marketing automation, and web analytics.

Strong understanding of email marketing metrics; 2+ years in email marketing and automation tools.

Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with Adobe Creative Suite preferred.

Knowledge of AP Style.

Preferred

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, Communications, Organizational Change, or related field.
