Position: Marketing & Revenue Development Coordinator Starting Range: $32.70 – $36.06 (Pending Education & Experience) Full Time Location: 7 Shingwauk St., Garden River, ON

Garden River First Nation administers a variety of programs and services. Various department managers oversee their individual programs and overall administrative duties are overseen by a Chief Administrative Officer who is directly responsible to the Council who in turn, are responsible to the membership. Garden River First Nation is hiring a Marketing & Revenue Development Coordinator to help promote its businesses and bring in new income. This role involves advertising, social media, planning events, working with partners and sponsors, and connecting with the community to increase awareness, customers, and overall success of Band-owned businesses.

Responsibilities

Creating compelling content (digital, print, and social media) that promotes services, initiatives, and special events.

Coordinating revenue-generating events, promotions, and community-facing campaigns.

Identifying and securing sponsorships, partnerships, and funding opportunities that contribute to business revenue.

Conducting market research and analyzing trends to support data-driven decision-making.

Managing branding consistency across all business entities.

Sharing relevant marketing information and updates with staff and leadership in a timely manner.

Collaborating with business entity teams to ensure promotions meet operational needs.

What you can bring to the role

Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Relations, or equivalent experience.

Proven experience in marketing, community outreach, sponsorship development, or event coordination.

Demonstrated success in revenue generation through marketing, partnership building, or promotional campaigns.

Strong written and visual communication skills, including social media management and content creation.

Experience coordinating community events and securing sponsorships.

Ability to build relationships with diverse community stakeholders.

Skilled in analyzing engagement metrics and adjusting strategy accordingly.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments.

Valid driver’s license (preferred).

Demonstrated sensitivity to and knowledge of First Nation cultural values and traditions.
