Senior Data Communications Tech – Network and Systems Integration
JLL is hiring a Senior Data Communications Tech. This role combines network infrastructure expertise with application support responsibilities, serving as the primary on‑site technical point of contact at LaGuardia Airport for troubleshooting system issues, updating data assets, and supporting IT operations.
Shift:
Wednesday – Saturday 7am – 5pm
Base pay range:
$77,900.00 – $100,000.00 per year
Technical Requirements
IT background with low voltage/DC power systems knowledge
Experience with Cat‑6 cabling and fiber optics
CCNA certification preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office and web‑based applications
Key Responsibilities
Configure and troubleshoot network systems (Cat‑6, fiber optics, low voltage installations)
Resolve end‑user IT application service requests within defined service levels
Manage help desk ticketing system and document service requests
Define functional and technical requirements through stakeholder collaboration
Develop and execute test plans and user acceptance testing
Support system implementations and change‑management processes
Create training materials and support documentation
Required Qualifications
Strong problem‑solving with proactive issue identification
Excellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to multitask and work independently in a fast‑paced environment
Collaborative working style with project management capabilities
Experience meeting deadlines under minimal supervision
Continuous learning mindset with hands‑on technical approach
Additional Duties
Maintain relationships with clients, internal IT teams, operations, and engineering staff
Coordinate with service management functions on escalations
Participate in projects and system implementations
All other assigned duties
