This opportunity involves providing skilled nursing care in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting located near Lees Summit, MO. The role is a contract position focused on delivering high-quality patient-centered nursing care during night shifts in a high-acuity environment. Key Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive nursing care to PCU patients, ensuring close monitoring and timely interventions. Manage complex patient needs including high acuity drips, arterial lines, and respiratory support such as BiPAP and AirVO. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes. Adhere to facility protocols and safety standards in a nicotine-free environment. Float to lesser units as needed, maintaining flexibility in patient care assignments. Work every other weekend and major holidays with management support for schedule adjustments. Qualifications and Experience: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license. Minimum of 1 year experience in PCU nursing. Certifications in ACLS and BLS required; NIHSS certification preferred. Experience with high acuity drip management, arterial line care, and non-invasive ventilation devices highly desirable. Ability to work night shift hours and adapt to floating requirements. New graduates are not eligible for this assignment. Location Overview:Situated near Lees Summit, MO, this assignment offers access to a suburban community with convenient amenities and a supportive healthcare infrastructure. The area provides a balanced lifestyle with proximity to outdoor recreational options and accessible urban centers. Schedule: 12-hour night shifts: 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM Orientation Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM (specific start dates in early to mid-December) Additional Information: Contract assignment with bi-weekly pay. Orientation includes 8 paid no-bill hours. The client may cancel one shift per pay period with a minimum two hours notice. A nicotine-free facility requiring adherence to all health and safety policies.
