A healthcare opportunity is available for a registered nurse with progressive care unit (PCU) experience to work on a 12-hour night shift schedule in the Lees Summit area. This contract role is suited for a skilled RN ready to deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. Location:The role is based near a prominent medical center on Glenn Hendren Drive, providing services to the Liberty and greater Lees Summit community in Missouri. This area offers a blend of suburban comfort and access to urban amenities, with convenient transportation routes and community resources. Schedule/Hours: 12-hour night shifts, 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM Work every other weekend Major holiday shifts required, with schedule accommodations available Qualifications / Desired Experience: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Minimum 1 year PCU experience required Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification Basic Life Support (BLS) certification National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) preferred Experience with high acuity drips, arterial line monitoring, and bipap/airvo devices is highly desirable Ability to float to lesser units as needed Responsibilities: Provide attentive care to patients in the progressive care unit Monitor cardiac and respiratory status, managing complex drips and interventions Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient recovery Maintain compliance with facility policies in this nicotine-free environment Benefits and Perks: Orientation provided Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM Bi-weekly pay cycles No on-call duties required This position is ideal for RNs who are not new graduates and are comfortable working nights within a structured schedule.
