Join a Level 2 Trauma Stepdown unit in a dynamic healthcare environment focused on acute surgical and trauma patient care. This contract opportunity is based in Arlington, TX, offering a challenging and rewarding experience for Registered Nurses skilled in stepdown nursing. Position Highlights: Work 7A-7P shifts caring for patients recovering from trauma surgeries, neuro/spine surgeries, cardiac catheterizations, and other critical interventions. Join a dedicated team on a 25-bed stepdown unit with a patient ratio of 1:4 (max 1:5). Utilize Meditech EMR in a technologically equipped setting. Benefit from a collaborative team of 44 full-time RNs and support staff. No on-call requirement; ability to float within Progressive Care and Heart & Vascular units. Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients post-surgery or with acute neurological or cardiac conditions such as CVA, TIA, or STEMI. Manage intravenous drips including Amiodarone, Heparin, Dobutamine, and more. Monitor vital signs, telemetry, and perform frequent patient assessments. Deliver expert care in a fast-paced, evolving trauma center responding to emergent patient needs. Qualifications: Active RN license with stepdown experience. Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale. Strong customer service skills and team-oriented attitude. Preferred: Trauma/Orthopedic experience and Meditech proficiency.
