Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a K-12 school setting in Silver Spring, MD, to cover leave positions on a contract basis. This role offers valuable experience within a dynamic school district, working with diverse student populations across multiple locations. Key Responsibilities: Provide speech-language pathology services to students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade. Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver individualized therapy. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student communication needs. Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state and federal regulations. Adapt therapy approaches to meet the unique requirements of students across multiple schools. Caseload and Schedule: Position starts mid-February, April, or May with assignments at various elementary and middle schools. Typical schedules range from 2 to 5 days per week depending on the site, totaling 37.5 hours per week. Contract assignment ends June 12, 2026. Qualifications: Active Maryland license as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Strong experience providing speech therapy within school settings (K-12). Valid CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred. Ability to work in person; virtual candidates will not be considered.
