A specialized nursing opportunity is available in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for a Registered Nurse with NICU experience, located in Plano, TX. This contract position offers the chance to apply clinical skills in a fast-paced, highly supportive environment focused on the care of critically ill newborns. Responsibilities: Provide high-quality nursing care to neonates in the NICU, including monitoring, assessment, and intervention. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. Utilize specialized neonatal equipment such as nasal cannulas, bubble CPAP, ventilators, oscillators, IV pumps, NIRS, warmers, and isolettes. Maintain accurate and timely documentation using electronic systems like CPN and Meditech. Adhere to scheduling requirements, including working 3 twelve-hour shifts per week with rotating weekends and holidays. Support patient care needs while floating to other units such as PICU, Pediatrics, and CICU as needed. Desired Experience and Qualifications: Current and active RN license with NICU nursing experience preferred. Proficiency with neonatal intensive care equipment and monitoring. Strong clinical skills in caring for critically ill neonates. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Flexibility to float to adjacent care units when required. Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.
