A specialized nursing opportunity is available within a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) setting, offering professional RNs the chance to provide critical care to newborns in a fast-paced hospital environment. This contract role is based in Arlington, TX, with an option to contribute skills in a dynamic, multidisciplinary team focused on delivering top-tier neonatal care. Responsibilities include: Delivering direct nursing care to neonates requiring intensive support. Monitoring patient vital signs and managing advanced life support equipment such as nasal cannulas, bubble CPAP, ventilators, oscillators, and IV pumps. Utilizing specialized technology including NIRS, warmers, and isolettes to maintain patient stability. Documenting patient care accurately using electronic medical record systems. Collaborating with a team of RNs, LVNs, PCTs, and nurse externs to ensure continuity of care. Adhering to scheduling requirements, including 3 twelve-hour shifts per week with rotating weekends and holidays. Participating in the floating policy to support other critical areas such as Pediatric ICU, Pediatrics, and Cardiac ICU as needed. Desired Qualifications: Active and unrestricted RN licensure with NICU experience strongly preferred. Proficiency in neonatal critical care equipment and technologies. Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment. Strong clinical assessment and communication skills. Flexibility to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays.
