Providing specialized neonatal care within a busy NICU environment, this opportunity is ideal for experienced registered nurses eager to apply their skills in a dynamic setting. This contract role is based in Arlington, TX, offering exposure to advanced neonatal equipment and a diverse patient population. Responsibilities include delivering high-quality nursing care to neonates using devices such as Nasal Cannulas, Bubble CPAP, ventilators, oscillators, IV pumps, NIRS monitors, warmers, and isolettes. Nurses will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team consisting of RNs, LVNs, PCTs, and Nurse Externs to manage patient loads with ratios ranging from 1:1 to 1:4. The role requires proficiency with electronic documentation systems including CPN and Meditech. Scheduling involves working three 12-hour shifts per week with a rotating weekend and holiday schedule. Contract staff may be required to float to related units including PICU, Pediatrics, and CICU to provide comprehensive patient care.
