Agile Scrum Master Location:
Hybrid – must be local to Chicago; expected in office twice a week Contract:
Opportunity for extensions Compensation:
$60–$70/hr with benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k)
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and support multiple Agile Scrum Teams on complex initiatives.
Facilitate Scrum ceremonies and ensure adherence to Scrum values.
Identify and resolve delivery impediments; escape when necessary.
Manage risks and issues, foster continuous improvement, and drive team maturity.
Serve as an Agile subject matter expert and mentor.
Support Product Owner in backlog management and prioritization.
Build strong team environments and manage conflict resolution.
Promote transparency around delivery progress, quality, and schedule.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
Prior experience as a Scrum Master using Agile Scrum methodology.
Strong servant‑leader mindset with coaching and mentoring skills.
Experience delivering modern enterprise software using Agile.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Jira and Jira Align:
Connect strategy to execution.
Manage program‑level backlogs.
Visualize dependencies across Agile Release Trains (ARTs).
Configure dashboards, OKRs, and lean metrics.
AI & Tooling Awareness:
Familiarity with AI‑enhanced platforms (Jira Automation, Rovo, GitHub Copilot, Lucid AI, Microsoft Copilot).
Ability to interpret AI‑generated insights and coach teams on AI‑driven practices.
Education & Experience
Scrum Master Certification (CSM) preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum 4 years of related work experience in enterprise IT with Agile delivery.
Previous project management experience preferred.
