Position Title: Research Assistant Professor of bioinformatics in Ji Lab (Institution: Loyola University Chicago, Campus: Maywood – Health Sciences Campus, Department: SURGERY). Position Number: 34381. Job Type: Full-Time. FLSA Status: Exempt. Campus: Maywood – Health Sciences Campus. Location Code: SURGERY (06740A). Position End Date: Open Until Filled. Salary Range: $80,000 – $100,000 (12‑month academic appointment). The final salary will be based on experience and qualifications. Benefits:

The applicant will perform hands‑on exploratory and regulatory‑related biomarker analyses, including large‑scale proteomics, metabolomics, and lipidomics. The work will focus on developing prediction models and identifying molecular endotypes for pulmonary diseases such as acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), sarcoidosis, sepsis, and trauma. The candidate will design data analysis strategies, implement cutting‑edge bioinformatics and biostatistics methods to integrate clinical and trans‑omics data, and must be productive in publications and grant funding, as this is a full‑time faculty position that expects independent project development. Qualifications:
PhD and/or MD in bioinformatics, computer sciences, or biostatistics.
