Overview The Associate Athletic Director of Facilities and Operations will have an integral role in the day-to-day operations of the Athletic Department at Ursuline Academy. Reporting to the Athletic Director, the Associate Athletic Director of Facilities and Operations provides leadership and support to Ursuline coaches and athletes through the managing of day-to-day operations of a large high school athletic program. As a Catholic, all-girls school Ursuline is dedicated to finding staff members that not only excel in filling their role but also individuals who are committed to the overall mission, vision and values of the Ursuline Academy of Dallas.

General Authority The Associate Athletic Director of Facilities and Operations reports directly to the Athletic Director, who reports to the Principal at Ursuline Academy of Dallas.

Key Accountabilities

Work collaboratively within the athletic department and with Ursuline coaches to ensure a consistent and supportive environment is fostered in the athletic department.

Develop processes and procedures relevant to the position that ensure consistency for all athletic programs.

Model the Ursuline Athletic Department mission by demonstrating our core characteristics.

Responsibilities and Activities

Coordinate all transportation for athletic teams.

Ensure a clean line of communication on upcoming or ongoing athletic facility needs for the athletic department to the facilities department.

Communicate with Facilities and Security on a regular basis to ensure all departments are aligned in support of the needs of the athletic department.

Enter all contest schedules in all required scheduling platforms.

Coordinate travel arrangements for all team’s overnight trips.

Coordinate coverage for all necessary positions for home athletic contests, (score/clock/national anthem/announcing).

Set up athletic facilities for home contests.

Coordinate Ursuline coaches use of athletic facilities for private lessons.

Coordinate approved athletic facility rentals.

Complete and secure contracts for athletic rental facilities.

Act as Game Administrator for home games as needed.

Assist coaches in getting uniforms and equipment inventoried post season.

Position Requirements

A very strong communicator with a collaborative mindset.

Detail oriented with the ability to effectively work across multiple scheduling and calendar platforms.

Must have a flexible schedule to accommodate early mornings, late nights and potential weekend coverage as needed.

Must be able to coach a sport at Ursuline, at any level (Freshman, JV or Varsity).

A deep commitment to the mission of Ursuline Academy of Dallas and its Catholic identity.

Bachelor’s degree required. Bachelor’s degree in education, business administration or sports management preferred.

In addition to the above responsibilities, full-time staff at Ursuline Academy serve as advisors, actively participate in non-academic student activities such as moderating clubs, chaperoning events, and student supervision, and enthusiastically pursue professional development opportunities as they join a Catholic, independent school culture.
