Commercial Finance Manager

We are seeking a strategic Commercial Finance Lead to support a U.S. consumer business. This role serves as a key financial partner to commercial and cross-functional leadership, owning full P&L performance and driving profitable growth through insight, analysis, and strong business partnership. Key Responsibilities
Serve as the Commercial Finance Lead for the U.S. business, owning the full P&L from gross sales to net earnings
Partner with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, R&D, and Innovation to evaluate strategies, trade-offs, and new initiatives
Lead financial planning and analysis, including the Annual Operating Plan, monthly forecasting, and Long-Range Planning
Provide forward-looking insights, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend actions to improve performance
Translate financial results into clear, actionable insights for senior leaders
Mentor and develop direct reports while contributing to a high-performing finance team
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
7+ years of progressive finance experience (FP&A, commercial finance, or business unit finance)
Strong understanding of brand, customer, and commercial strategy
Demonstrated experience managing a full P&L and providing business-unit financial leadership
Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills with strong business acumen
Proven ability to influence senior leaders, challenge assumptions, and partner cross-functionally
Strong communication skills, including the ability to present complex financial topics to non-finance audiences
Experience leading, mentoring, and developing teams
Experience with sales, pricing, and trade promotion data (preferred)
Experience with enterprise financial systems, planning tools, and BI platforms (preferred)
Master’s degree or MBA (preferred)
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company’s 401(k) retirement plan.
