Estate Manager Opportunity
A prestigious private residence is seeking a dynamic, proactive Estate Manager to oversee operations for a high-end property. This role reports to senior management and involves not only handling daily tasks but also foreseeing issues, making quick decisions, and driving improvements to support the entire team.
The perfect candidate is motivated to excel, adapts easily to changing demands, and takes ownership of outcomes. With a blend of strategic oversight and practical involvement, they lead effectively while ensuring smooth, detail-oriented execution that aligns with high standards.
Experience managing diverse teams, including culinary, cleaning, groundskeeping, repair, and external service providers, is essential. This is a non-residential position with standard weekday hours, though availability for evenings, weekends, or holidays may be needed based on requirements.
Privacy and professionalism are critical.
Key Duties
Recruit, coordinate, and supervise staff and vendors to meet all household and maintenance needs.
Identify and engage specialists for building, renovation, upkeep, and repair projects.
Maintain expertise in home automation systems to keep all tech operational.
Create and execute comprehensive maintenance strategies for facilities, grounds, and landscapes.
Handle budgeting, invoice processing, and financial reporting.
Care for vehicles, boats, and other on-site assets.
Organize and execute events ranging from intimate gatherings to large functions.
Manage staff rosters and payroll approvals.
Supervise supply procurement and inventory tracking.
Provide direct assistance to residents, visitors, and guests.
Requirements
At least 5 years in estate management, ideally with hospitality background.
Proven track record leading sizable teams efficiently.
Background in overseeing construction or renovation projects is a plus.
Strong history managing events of various scales.
Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and communication abilities.
Advanced skills in office software like Microsoft Word, Excel, and email platforms.
Valid driver's license.
Clear background and reference verification.
Physical Demands
Ability to lift items to 50 lbs, with or without assistance.
Capable of extended periods of standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
Compensation Competitive salary range of $200,000 - $250,000 per year, influenced by expertise, skills, and location. Benefits include health, dental, vision coverage, life and disability insurance, plus ample paid leave.
