The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all operations, revenue growth, team performance, and client experience. This role requires both strategic thinking and hands-on leadership. You will manage the business as if it were your own—owning outcomes, solving problems proactively, and ensuring the location runs smoothly, profitably, and beautifully. Responsibilities

Operations & Studio Management Oversee daily studio operations to ensure efficiency, consistency, and excellence

Create, manage, and optimize staff schedules to meet business needs and control labor costs

Maintain SOPs (standard operating procedures) for front desk, practitioners, sales, and client experience

Ensure compliance with health, safety, licensing, and local regulations

Troubleshoot operational issues quickly and calmly

Oversee inventory management, ordering, and vendor relationships

Maintain the physical space—cleanliness, aesthetics, functionality, and brand alignment

Team Leadership & Culture Hire, onboard, train, manage, and retain a high-performing team

Set clear expectations, roles, KPIs, and accountability for staff

Lead regular team meetings, check-ins, and performance reviews

Foster a culture of professionalism, warmth, ownership, and alignment with our values

Address performance issues, conflict resolution, and corrective action when needed

Support staff development, motivation, and morale

Financial Management Oversee payroll, time tracking, and labor optimization

Track expenses, approve invoices, and manage vendor payments

Work with ownership/accounting on budgeting and cash flow visibility

Monitor profitability across services, memberships, events, and retail

Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality

Maintain clean, organized financial records related to operations

Revenue Growth & Sales Leadership Own studio revenue targets and growth strategy

Actively sell and optimize memberships, packages, and high-value services

Train the team on sales scripts, client education, and conversion best practices

Track KPIs including: Membership conversion & retention

Average client spend

Utilization rates

Monthly recurring revenue (MRR)

Forecast and project revenue monthly and quarterly

Develop and implement incentives and promotions aligned with revenue goals

Marketing & Community Partnerships Collaborate with the founder/marketing team to execute marketing initiatives

Identify and develop strategic partnerships with: Local businesses

Fitness studios

Medical, beauty, and wellness providers

Influencers and community leaders

Plan and execute events, pop-ups, workshops, and collaborations

Ensure in-studio marketing is on-brand, current, and effective

Gather client feedback and insights to inform marketing strategy

Support social media and referral initiatives through team engagement

Requirements

7-10 years of experience in operations, hospitality, wellness, fitness, beauty, or service-based businesses

Proven experience managing teams and driving revenue

Strong financial and business acumen

Natural leader with emotional intelligence and decisiveness

Highly organized, proactive, and solutions-oriented

Comfortable balancing big-picture strategy with hands-on execution

Passionate about wellness, health, and elevated client experience

Confident communicator who can lead, sell, and represent the brand
