Nuclear Medicine Technologist – Radiology/Cardiology - Travel Position (with $7,500 Completion Bonus)
Location:Orange, CA Job Type:Travel Contract Duration:13 weeks Shift:5x8 Days Pay:$2,917.60/week(plus $2,500 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,500 after three contracts)
Position Summary The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures using radiopharmaceuticals to evaluate organ function and structure, primarily for cardiac and radiology-related studies. This role requires technical expertise, attention to safety protocols, and compassionate patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for nuclear medicine procedures.
Operate imaging equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images for cardiac and other organ studies.
Perform stress tests and cardiac imaging under physician supervision.
Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and maintain accurate documentation.
Educate patients about procedures, safety precautions, and post-test instructions.
Collaborate with cardiologists, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to interpret and deliver results.
Maintain equipment and report any malfunctions promptly.
Qualifications
Education:
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field.
License/Certification:
Current certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or ARRT (N)
State licensure as required
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Experience:
Minimum 1–2 years of nuclear medicine experience; cardiac imaging experience preferred.
Skills & Competencies
Proficiency in nuclear medicine imaging techniques and equipment.
Strong knowledge of radiation safety and regulatory compliance.
Excellent communication and patient education skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
