Radiology Manager (Radiology & Cardiology Imaging) - Travel Position (with $7,500 Completion Bonus)
Location: La Jolla, CA Job Type: Travel Contract Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 5x8 Days Pay: $3,095.20/week plus $2,500 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,500 after three contracts
Position Summary The Radiology Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Radiology Department, including Cardiology imaging services where applicable. This role ensures high-quality diagnostic imaging, regulatory compliance, efficient workflow, and exceptional patient care. The manager will lead a team of imaging professionals, manage resources, and collaborate with physicians and other clinical departments to optimize service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Department Leadership
Supervise and coordinate activities of radiology and cardiology imaging staff.
Develop and implement departmental policies, procedures, and protocols.
Operational Management
Ensure efficient scheduling, patient throughput, and timely reporting.
Monitor and maintain imaging equipment, coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs.
Quality & Compliance
Maintain compliance with regulatory standards (DOH, Joint Commission, radiation safety).
Oversee quality assurance programs and accreditation processes.
Financial & Resource Management
Prepare and manage departmental budgets.
Monitor KPIs such as turnaround time, repeat rates, and patient satisfaction.
Staff Development
Recruit, train, and evaluate staff performance.
Promote continuing education and professional growth.
Collaboration
Work closely with Radiologists, Cardiologists, and other clinical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Radiologic Technology, Healthcare Administration, or related field required.
Master’s degree preferred.
Licensure/Certification
Valid Radiologic Technologist license (PRC or equivalent).
Preferred: ARRT, ARDMS, or CCI certifications.
BLS certification required.
Experience
Minimum 5 years in diagnostic imaging with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Experience in both radiology and cardiology imaging preferred.
Skills
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Knowledge of PACS/RIS systems and imaging protocols.
Ability to manage budgets and analyze operational metrics.
