UNC Rex Hospital is seeking a Part‑Time Psychiatrist (MD/DO) to join its inpatient consult team.
Overview of UNC Rex Hospital
Part of UNC Health system; 480‑bed community hospital in Raleigh.
Inpatient psychiatry consult service staffed weekdays by hospital‑employed psychiatrists with contractors for coverage.
Provides emergency and consult‑liaison psychiatry services 8 hours a day, 7 days a week; interfaces closely with ED, hospitalist, intensivist, and behavioral health staff.
Patients seen throughout hospital: floors, ICUs, ED, and behavioral health observation unit (8‑bed locked wing).
Responsibilities and Qualifications
MD/DO, Board‑certified.
Inpatient only; 8‑hour shifts.
EMR: Epic.
Experience in consult‑liaison psychiatry preferred.
