Job Description
General Summary:
The Commercial Supply Chain Specialidt is responsible for straightforward administrative activities within Commercial Supply Chain; activities typically consist of well-defined support tasks that are performed under moderate supervision.
This is a 6 month contract to start.
Hybrid role.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides logistics support including coordination and prioritization of planned shipments as well as shipment tracking and troubleshooting distribution related issues
Coordinates with external contract manufacturing partners for the collection and review of inventory reports for Vertex materials.
Prepares Vertex inventory summaries as required
Supports senior Supply Chain and Quality staff with conducting transactions for material creation, movement and use in Vertex's material management software system
Confirms completion and tracking of supply chain supply-related documentation
Assists with issues affecting the development of production and inventory plans
Assists with the development and maintenance of relationships with third-party suppliers
Responsible for handling accountability and destruction of rejected, returned or unusable materials
Assists senior Supply Chain and Finance staff with tracking supply chain activities and contracts
Supports the maintenance of the Supply Chain Map program
Works with other groups (such as Quality, Tech Ops, Regulatory, suppliers, etc.) to resolve issues that may block the timely flow of materials or projects
Knowledge and Skills:
Displays ability to multi-task and and, with guidance, prioritize assigned work in a fast paced environment
Possesses strong organization skills
Possesses ability to manage own work load and contribute effectively in a team setting
Detail oriented with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
Good written and verbal communication skills to exchange relevant information
Experience in the pharmaceutical industry
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline (or equivalent experience)
Typically requires 2 years of work experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience
Pay Range $38-$42/HR
