JOB PURPOSE The Lobby Concierge & Guest Services Coordinator serves as the welcoming face of the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, delivering exceptional customer service to all internal and external guests. This position is responsible for creating outstanding first impressions through professional lobby reception, comprehensive guest services, and expert management of the Chamber's main phone line. As the primary point of contact for visitors, tenants, members, and callers, this role requires a customer‑centric approach, ensuring every interaction reflects the Chamber's commitment to service excellence. The Concierge must skillfully handle diverse inquiries, provide accurate information with warmth and professionalism, and, when necessary, de‑escalate concerns with empathy and tact. Our goal is to make every guest, visitor, and caller feel valued, respected, and heard throughout their experience with the Chamber. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Guest Services & Customer Experience Maintain a welcoming and professional presence at the front desk throughout the shift, embodying superior customer service in every interaction Greet, welcome, and assist all visitors with warmth and attentiveness, ensuring each guest feels valued and comfortable Answer and manage the Chamber's main phone line promptly and professionally, responding to inquiries with a high level of service and transferring calls appropriately to the correct department or personnel Provide exceptional service to both internal colleagues and external guests, anticipating needs and exceeding expectations Address visitor and caller inquiries with accuracy, patience, and a solutions‑oriented mindset De‑escalate concerns or complaints from employees, tenants, members, or the public with empathy, professionalism, and effective problem‑solving Administrative & Reception Duties Keep the front desk organized, tidy, and presentable with all necessary materials (pens, forms, paper, etc.) Notify company personnel of visitor arrivals through varied methods in a timely manner Maintain and update employee and department directories and calendar of events to provide accurate visitor guidance Provide light clerical assistance and maintain security by following procedures, monitoring the logbook, and issuing visitor badges where appropriate Receive, organize, and deliver packages to recipients promptly and courteously Escalate complex problems, questions, and concerns to appropriate Chamber staff with clear communication Facility Management & Safety Conduct routine checks of the 1st‑floor exterior walkways, perimeter area, common areas on each floor, and stairwells, ensuring these areas remain safe, clean, and welcoming Provide video and physical surveillance of the interior and exterior of the building Help maintain the patio area; perform light maintenance, tend to plants and seating area to ensure an inviting environment Open and unlock and/or close and lock public doors and ensure suites are secured daily based on shift time Contact emergency services for building residents when applicable Provide reliable and timely service in all facility‑related responsibilities Additional Responsibilities Other duties as assigned, including administrative and facility support that enhance the overall guest experience QUALIFICATIONS Front Desk experience preferred Customer Focus Handles Pressure Familiarity with phone systems Previous experience with Microsoft Office software preferred WORKING CONDITIONS Equipment to be used includes a PC based network system with internet and intranet capabilities, phones, and copiers. Must be able to perform light maintenance/surveillance duties for the Interior and exterior of building Professional office environment. Normal work hours at the Chamber are 9:00 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Chamber building located in downtown Denver. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Physical requirements of the job include sitting at a desk (70% of the time); walk interior and exterior of facility frequently which may include 5 flights of steps, lift up to 40 pounds maybe be required to perform job duties. Must be able to provide light cleaning and maintenance duties; use a broom, mop & bucket, shovel, sanitation equipment and supplies or duster for light facility responsibilities.
