Overview T12 Technologies is seeking an experienced Course Director / Chief Instructor to lead the delivery of a multi-module advanced medical training program overseas. This role provides overall program leadership, manages day-to-day instruction, enforces safety and quality standards, coordinates scheduling and assessments, and acts as the primary liaison to the client on site. Ideal candidates bring tactical, critical care, aeromedical, and/or maritime medical teaching experience, along with strong operational leadership, communication, and assessment governance skills.
Key Responsibilities
Direct all module delivery and control daily training operations
Supervise instructor teams and ensure consistent instruction standards
Lead safety management, including risk assessments, PPE controls, and emergency procedures
Coordinate instructor rotations, schedules, scenario execution, and after-action reviews (AARs)
Maintain training records, attendance, competencies, and documentation for completion
Partner with logistics and simulation support to ensure equipment readiness
Brief client leadership and provide clear written and verbal updates
Minimum Qualifications
Must have a Special Forces background
10+ years’ operational and/or clinical experience in austere, tactical, transport, or critical care environments
5+ years teaching and instructor leadership in a similar capacity (Course Director, Chief Instructor, Lead Faculty, etc.)
Demonstrated experience managing complex multi-module training, safety, and assessment standards
Strong professional communication and reporting skills
Ability to deploy for the full contract period and meet visa/access requirements
Module Experience (One or More Required) Candidates should have instructor-level exposure or operational experience in one or more of the following:
Module 1 – Tactical Medicine + CBRN
Tactical/austere trauma care instruction (military, Law Enforcement, EMS, tactical, remote medicine)
HAZMAT/Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear experience preferred
Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC)/Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) instructor credentials are a plus
Hemorrhage control, airway, chest injury management, hypothermia prevention, casualty evacuation
Preferred Credentials
TCCC Instructor (or documented experience teaching TCCC/TECC-equivalent content)
HAZMAT/CBRN operational experience; PPE donning/doffing & decon lane training
Module 2 – Medical Evacuation & Field Critical Care
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Emergency Department (ED)/ critical care transport/retrieval medicine
Flight/critical care credentials (FP-C, CCP-C, CFRN, etc.) preferred
Disaster/MCI operations and triage systems
Preferred Credentials
Critical Care Paramedic / Flight Paramedic / ICU RN / ED RN experience
FP-C / CCP-C / CFRN (or equivalent)
Disaster/incident management training (ICS/command board familiarity)
Module 3 – Aviation & Aeromedical Medicine
Flight medic/nurse or aviation physiology training exposure
Crew Resource Management (CRM)/safety/aviation medicine teaching preferred
Preferred Credentials
Flight paramedic/nurse background; aviation safety/CRM facilitation experience
Experience with altitude/hypoxia training tools or aviation physiology education
Module 4 – Naval & Diving Medicine
Maritime or diving emergency management and rescue operations teaching
Dive medicine exposure or rescue diver training preferred
Preferred Credentials
Dive medic/diving medicine course facilitation; rescue diver / maritime rescue training
Hyperbaric medicine exposure (theory acceptable; chamber operation not required)
General Role Requirements
Valid passport and ability to deploy for the full duration
Ability to operate in field conditions (heat, PPE, long days, high tempo)
Professional conduct, cultural awareness, and strong client-facing demeanor
Commitment to safety, documentation, and QA standards
Highly Preferred
