About this Position
We're actively hiring a Chief Mate, for our LNG Tug Vanguard operations, in Savannah, GA. The duties include but are not limited to perform all duties and responsibilities of assisting in safe operation of tug under supervision of the Tug Master, follow safety procedures and guidelines pertaining to regulatory guidelines. Also responsible for deck duties pertaining to LNG barge to include but not limited to, making fast, stowing lines, painting, chipping, greasing deck equipment and following orders of the master of the vessel.
Required Experience
Minimum Qualifications/Experience: Towing Officer Assessment Record (TOAR) Officer in Charge of Navigational Watch (OICNW) STCW with all required endorsements Valid TWIC Valid Passport - must be able to travel internationally with no felonies, DUI, or other convictions which would restrict entry into Canada or other nations. Working Knowledge of LNG Cargo Operations Ability to demonstrate Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in all aspects of Towing and Navigation. 540 days (1.5 years) on board a towing vessel in a supervisory capacity. Computer efficiencies with Word, Excel, Outlook, and Maintenance Based Programs. MUST have the ability to report to work within two (2) hours of notification in and around the Savannah area.
