About this Position We’re actively hiring an Utility, for our LNG barge operations, in Savannah, GA. The AB dock worker duties include but are not limited to perform all duties and responsibilities of all deck work – handling lines, chipping & painting, general maintenance, loading stores, and sanitary work. Must be able to splice lines. Support general engine maintenance under the guidance of the Chief Engineer. Must be an accomplished and diligent watch stander, including the conduct of security rounds and fire watch throughout the entire vessel both pier side and underway. Must keep the officers informed of vessel condition at all times. Carry out orders in accordance with Company Procedures and Safety Policies.
Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
Ordinary Seamen endorsement – Special Rating or above
Valid STCW with Basic Safety Training & Personal Survival Craft
Valid TWIC
Valid Passport
Preferred Qualifications/Experience:
AB – Special Rating or above
RFPNW – Rating Forming Part of a Navigational Watch
VPDSD – Vessel Personnel with Designated Security Duties
This position does require the candidate to join the Seafarers International Union (SIU) as a condition of employment. All benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k, and pension will be provided through the union. Click here to learn more about SIU’s benefit offerings.
Work Schedule
MUST have the ability to report to work within two (2) hours of notification in and around the Savannah area.
