Full Time Pastor Opening – New Life Fellowship Church Mailing Address: POB 520 New Life Fellowship Church is seeking to fill our full-time pastor / elder opening. Our ideal candidate will shepherd our congregation into growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He will provide sound expositional / exegetical preaching and teaching, pastoral care (Counseling, discipleship, and visitation), He will shepherd the flock in step with our evangelical, reformed and baptistic faith. Our pastor of 10+ years has moved on to other gospel work. We are seeking to fill his position. We are a small congregation of about 45 baptized church members and on good Sundays we get to around 6 0 total attenders. We are in a small agricultural community of about 1,250. It is a conservative and friendly town, serving as a great place to raise a family. The nearest Walmart is 19 miles away. We are mixture of older people and younger families. The congregation is a warm, friendly, family type environment. Doctrinally, our elders affirm and teach from the perspective of the 1689 Second London Baptist Confession of Faith. We currently have three experienced elders including our current pastor. We run three regular Bible studies during the week (one is a women’s study, youth group, and another for all), we also have a mid-week discipleship ministry for our children. Lord’s Days we offer Sunday school classes for all ages (currently have 4 classes), our worship service followed by a fellowship meal. We uphold liberty of conscience in non-essential issues. Our church is in association with the Fellowship of Independent Reformed Evangelicals (FIRE). We are seeking a pastor who will possess: A deep commitment to the Reformed faith and biblical doctrine, including belief in the five solas, and the doctrines of grace. Some ministry experience is preferable. A heart for pastoral care, able to counsel, pray with, and disciple people in a loving and compassionate manner. A man who loves the flock he shepherds. A Masters degree, doctorate degree in theology, or equivalent theological training is preferred. He needs to possess some kind of ministry training. A servant-hearted leader who seeks to glorify God in all things. A man of personal integrity who practices what he preaches. In his personal life, our pastor must have a reputation for personal holiness and integrity, and a history of church membership and involvement. As the only pastoral employee, our pastor needs to be a motivated initiative-taker, with strong leadership skills. He must also be hospitable and relational. A team player who values collaboration and church unity. A pastor who is committed to the ministry of prayer, study, and proclamation of the gospel. Application Deadline
