Job Summary This position is housed within the Financial Bureau of the Child Support Services Division and is responsible for leading, developing, and ensuring compliance with all budgetary and financial processes, policies, and procedures related to state appropriations, federal matching funds, and federal grant awards. The role requires expertise in revenue forecasting and cash management, as well as a working knowledge of federal funding programs associated with CSSD’s IV‑D program, including foster care, Social Security, and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF).

Qualifications
Knowledge of contract and budget monitoring, as well as the principles and practices of public administration, including organizational analysis and the principles and practices of governmental accounting (GAAP).
Ability to understand budgets and related program information. Expertise and knowledge of federal and state regulations governing IV‑D services.
Strong organizational, budgeting, accounting, oral and written communications, and analytical skills.
Efficient operation of a personal computer, developing and maintaining complex financial spreadsheets and databases.
Ability to learn quickly and independently.
Creative problem‑solving ability with a high degree of self‑motivation and flexibility. Ability to proactively recognize and solve problems.
Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships.
Bachelor’s degree in economics, accounting, finance, public administration, or a related field.
Two years of professional financial experience.
Three years’ experience in budgeting or program management is preferred.
Other combinations of education and experience may be considered on a case‑by‑case basis.

Salary $34.35–$34.35 per hour (Hourly). Telework Eligible (Full‑time telework is not available. Telework schedule must be supervisor approved.) Benefits Package Eligibility: Health Insurance, Paid Leave & Holidays, Retirement Plan.
